Central Chambers invites applications for 2 pupillages. One will commence October 2020 with the second to commence in April 2021.
Central Chambers is well-established in the heart of Manchester city centre and is a mixed Criminal and Civil set.
The pupillages will be common law pupillages with a focus on family or crime the successful applicants will gain experience in all areas including crime, family, civil and immigration. Following completion of their first six a decision will be made as to whether one area should be specialised in.
Applicants selected will be invited for interview.
The interview process will consist of two rounds: an initial short interview and, for those successful, a second longer interview which will include an oral advocacy exercise and a written exercise to assess potential.
Interview rounds are to be held during March 2020 and early April 2020. We will try to let those who are selected know as soon as possible.
The pupillage will be with a view to tenancy.
