Keith Jones secures acquittal in GBH with Intent trial

Keith Jones secures victory in Section 18 GBH with intent case, defending his client against an allegation of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Despite the prosecution’s claims that the defendant attacked the complainant with a metal weights bar, fracturing three ribs and causing multiple circular abrasions consistent with blunt force, Keith successfully argued that his client had acted in self-defence against an aggressive assailant. The case was further complicated by the defendant’s prior murder conviction and 29 years spent in prison, but the jury ultimately returned a unanimous verdict of not guilty. Mike Lea of Khattaks Solicitors instructed Keith in the case.
