Central Chambers is Fundraising for the Terrence Higgins Trust

As part of chambers ongoing engagement with and support of some of the most vulnerable in society a number of tenants and friends will be completing a 10km walk in aid of the Terrance Higgins Trust on 12 October 2024.

Central Chambers is rightly proud of its established connections with the LGBTQIA+ community in Manchester and beyond. Alongside the LGBTQIA+ Law Clinic – Central Chambers Manchester and marching in Pride we are committed to assisting those most in need. That is a huge reason we are making an effort to support the Terrence Higgins Trust.

The Trust says:

Terrence Higgins Trust is the UK’s leading HIV charity. We support people living with HIV and amplify their voices and help the people using our services to achieve good sexual health.

Your support helps us work towards a world where:

  • There are no new HIV cases in the UK by 2030.
  • People living with HIV get the support they need.
  • Everyone can access good quality sexual and reproductive health services and information tailored to their individual needs.
  • HIV and sexual and reproductive health free from shame and stigma.

If you are interested in joining us on the day please email joseph.lynch@centralchambers.co.uk

We intend to start our walk around 12 noon from Chambers with an end time of around 2.30/3.00pm (nice and leisurely but you can go quicker if you want to). Our route will take in some interesting parts of Manchester and its history. Including the site of Peterloo massacre, The People’s History Museum, what’s left of the Assize Courts, Angel Meadows and a walk round Ancoats past the Apollo Theatre and back into town via Oxford Road ending at McTuckys. Chancery Lane to McTucky’s – Google Maps

If you can’t join us please do support us through a donation of any size on our JustGiving page which can be found here: Joseph Lynch is fundraising for Terrence Higgins Trust (justgiving.com)
