Join Central Chambers in the Manchester Pride 2023 March!

Hello and welcome to the Central Chambers’ sign-up for the Manchester Pride 2023 March! We’re thrilled to have you consider joining us in this vibrant celebration of love, unity, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

This year’s theme, “Queerly Beloved”, resonates with the heart of our community. It’s a call to spread love, dance in the streets, and celebrate the unique and powerful ways love flourishes within the LGBTQIA+ community. As we march, we’ll be embracing this theme, showcasing the strength and diversity of our community.

Central Chambers is proud to be an inclusive group. We stand firmly with our trans siblings and advocate for the rights and dignity of all. As such, we want to make it clear: Our march is a space of acceptance, unity, and celebration. The pledge agreed by all marching organisations states that they are upholding every individual’s right to dignity, value, and respect without prejudice towards gender, sex, sexuality, and other characteristics, including intersectional identities. The pledge also states that participants have not come to share derogatory, hateful, or oppressive opinions or views. We consider there to be no ‘LGB’ without the ‘T’. You are free to march with another organisation if that does not accord with your beliefs but we will not permit anti-trans or so-called ‘gender-critical’ messaging or livery within our marching group.

If you’re passionate about the intersection of LGBTQIA+ rights and the legal world, we welcome banners and placards that reflect this. However, please note:

  • All banners/placards related to lawyers and LGBTQIA+ rights are subject to approval on the day.
  • Banners/placards promoting other organisations are not permitted, as each organisation should have its own entry in the march.

We have a slot for 50 enthusiastic walkers, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. While we wish we could march with everyone, please understand that our decision on the allocation is final.

In the spirit of Pride, let’s come together to celebrate, support, and uplift each other. While there are rules to ensure a harmonious march, our primary goal is to create a welcoming, warm, and celebratory atmosphere for all.

March with pride, march with Central Chambers!
